The Plugsound engine and consequently all of the Plugsound modules were updated to v1.8 a couple of weeks ago.

New Features:

• New interface - This is the new look of Plugsound. The small interface is no longer available, for compatibility reasons.
• Reverb - A Reverberation effect has been included with 3 controls (Rev. Time, Hi damp, Dry/wet).
• Extended MIDI Control - Plugsound now recognizes 29 different MIDI continuous controllers.
• Release Trigger.
• OS X versions will be provided as a free update.

Improvements:

• More Voices - The UVI-Engine powering Plugsound has been optimised drastically in the past few months. Existing users of Plugsound should experience an increase in polyphony of about 15 to 20%.
• 32-bit Mode - The 32-bit mode is now a global switch.
• Preset selection arrows - The up and down arrows have been replaced by "previous/next" arrows underneath the preset number.
• Timing and compatibility improvements - Improved compatibility with Fruityloops, Sonar and Logic Audio 5.
• Other Bug Fixes.

Plugsound Box

Plugsound Box regroups the six individual plug-ins, allowing musicians to access the entire sound library at once, a whooping 3.56 GB of sounds in total. Plugsound Box is a simple to use and CPU-efficient plug-in collection, with a sound quality that earned Ultimate Sound Bank a Key Buy award and an EM Editor’s Choice from Electronic Musician.

Each Plugsound is a virtual instrument based on a professional sample library, available as a VST2 plug-in (Mac-PC), and a MAS and RTAS plug-in on the Mac. Each volume is supplied on a CDROM with printed manual and sound listings, plus multi-language PDF manuals & tutorials.

Plugsound Box is compatible with Mac OS 9 and windows. Mac OS X compatibility will be a free download from their web site in the near future.
