SKnote announces Attackease

WindowsVST

SKnote has announced Attackease, a new VST effect for Windows.

AttackeaseAttackease was developed for drums but is useful for any audio material containing some "attacks", like guitars. Attackease has an input and two output channels. It analyses the incoming audio and separates it in to "attack" and "sustain" channels. It is very different from a compressor, because it detects attacks instead of levels. Each channel can be processed with internal effects (a limiter for the attack and a compressor for the sustain) and routed to the outputs with separate level and pan controls. Attack and control can be processed separately with external effects and then mixed back.

Attackease was developed for dynamic processing but it can be used for creative effects, too (like spreading a guitar part in the stereo field).

Pricing & Availability

Attackease will have an MSRP of €129 and be available for Windows as a VST effect. The release date has not yet been announced.
