Nine Volt Audio has released a free update to TAIKO, its multi-sampled library of Japanese drums. To coincide with this update, TAIKO's price has been reduced from $149.99 to $129.99 until April 20th.

TAIKO update specifications:

  • Thirty-one new patches/multis, including the useful "45 Big Hits" patches, bringing TAIKO to 275+ patches/multis.
  • Over seventy-five new MIDI performances, many with up to 16 parts, spread across 12 new themes, taking TAIKO's MIDI performance count to 150+. A matching Kontakt multi patch is included for each theme (now totaling 24), pre-mixed for out-of-the-box composing.
  • 475+ MB of additional hits and fx, bringing TAIKO to nearly 2.8 GB of content.

TAIKO is now available on DVD-ROM or as a download. The update has been integrated into new copies and downloads of TAIKO. Owners of TAIKO can attain the update by submitting their info on Nine Volt Audio's contact page.
