WindowsVST

SKnote has announced that KickHaas, a new VST effect plug-in for Windows, is now available. A demo version without limitations (just a short silence every 20 seconds) is available for immediate download too.

KickHaasKickHaas is a "stage placement" stereo effect, useful for giving depth and dimension to mixes when you don't want to "hear the effect". It is based on delays and equalisation, but, differently from multi-tap delay effects, it is based on a geometric model of the ambience where the instruments and the listener are placed - simply place some walls (up to six), the listener and the sources to give realistic depth to the mix.

The effect is barely distinguishable until you switch it off and loose the depth.

Equalisation curves can be drawn for localisation cues (how we perceive the direction of the sound) and materials (different materials reflect the sound in different ways) for an enhanced effect.

Pricing & Availability

Priced at €129 (+VAT), KickHaas v1.0.9 is available now as a VST effect plug-in for Windows.
