Mixosaurus has announced that the Kontakt Player 3 update is now available as a free upgrade for all Mixosaurus users. It offers many enhancements, including:
- Extended Memory Addressing: Use up to 32GB RAM in both Windows and Mac OS X (even in 32-bit hosts such as Logic or ProTools).
- Enhanced Sampling Engine: Completely re-designed, with a significantly better disk streaming performance.
- Faster Loading & Saving Times: Loads patches quicker; saving time is even reduced by 50% (think e.g. auto-save in ProTools).
- Pro Tools Support in Mac OS X 10.5.
