7AIR has released DepthCharge Compressor, a free VST effect plug-in for Windows with analogue VU meters and a dimpled metal background.

DepthCharge Compressor was designed specifically for tracking, though it can be used in the master bus chain. 7AIR primarily uses it for drums, guitar and vocals, though it can be used for pretty much anything you throw at it, curbing some high frequencies on synths and pads for example.
