VirSyn have unveiled VirSyn TERA v2.0, now featuring six new pages dedicated to each synthesis type:

  • Waveshaping (microTERA)
  • Analog synthesis (anaTERA)
  • Spectrum Synthesis (specTERA)
  • Formant (formanTERA)
  • FM synthesis (fmTERA)
  • Physical modeling waveTERA)

These pages allow easy access to TERA's mighty sound engine however, in the modular page you have unrestricted access to all modules and parameters.

Features of v2.0:

  • Custom waveforms for all Oscillators.
  • Supersaw Mode.
  • The unique "Slotmachine" enables the user to get random sounds which are really usable.
  • Syncable multi-segment (64) envelope generators.
  • Combi programs for layer and split sounds.
  • Microtuning.
  • PC and Mac OS 9/OS X standalone / VST / AudioUnit.
  • New: ReWire 2 and RTAS.

Pricing/Availability

The price for TERA 2.0 will be 299 EUR and shipment will start on November 24th. All registered users with the original TERA CD 1.1/1.2 will get a downloadable upgrade for free. Registered users who have bought both CUBE and TERA get the upgrade for free regardless of the version.
