Steinberg has released new updates for the WaveLab family and announced that it is working on the fourth incarnation of its software sampler HALion.
Not much info about HALion 4 yet, but Steinberg says that for all intents and purposes, HALion 4 is a new product - every single aspect of the program's code is being written from the ground up. To keep HALion users posted on important news regarding the development of HALion 4, Steinberg has launched a new dedicated HALion 4 Blog.
WaveLab v6.1.1, WaveLab Studio v6.1.1 and WaveLab Essential v6.0.1 provide compatibility with the Windows 7 operating system. These updates have not run all quality assurance tests as is the case with regular updates, therefore no additional support is available for these versions.
"Our priority objective was to offer a solution as soon as possible, allowing our valued customers to use WaveLab 6 with the new Windows 7 operating system. We're releasing this update earlier than actually planned," comments Timo Wildenhain, marketing manager at Steinberg.
The download includes the complete installer packages for Windows 7. Older versions of the WaveLab 6 family do not have to be removed before installing this update.
