PowerFX has released the Mac OS X Audio Units version of SoundShuttle, the plugin that allows more than 40,000 sounds in the PowerFX database to be previewed, auditioned and downloaded for use in a digital audio sequencer. Users can search for and preview sounds to hear how they work in their productions before buying.

After purchasing and downloading the SoundShuttle plug-in and running the installer, users log in to the PowerFX online library for instant access to thousands of sounds and samples. Extensive search capabilities allow the user to search by: genre, types of sounds, instruments, tempo, key and more. SoundShuttle provides users with looping preview files, real-time synchronization with the user's host, the ability to unzip sounds on the fly, and drag-and-drop downloads to the host. Desired sounds are purchased via credit card from within the plug-in via the secure PowerFX server. Purchased sounds are marked in the result list of the plug-ins search window and can be sorted and downloaded anytime.

SoundShuttle is compatible with many popular music creation applications that support Audio Units software instruments, such as Emagic Logic, MOTU Digital Performer 4 and Apples GarageBand.
