Luxonix have announced the forthcoming release of Ravity, which is a virtual PCM synthesizer module with a 32MB wave set and a highly optimized engine designed to work very fast and light.

Ravity's Synth Mode supports 4 layers that allows you to set up key range, velocity range and Quick Edit Knob association for each layer, plus an Arpeggiator that operates independently for each of the 4 layers.

Feature Overview:

  • New structure based on PCM Synthesizer Module.
  • 32MB Wave Data.
  • Large preset browser (keyboard support) / Expandable easy editing GUI (hot-key support).
  • NAVI engine : Extremely low CPU load / 32bit sound processing (64bit on transposition).
  • HLMS : Hyper Layered MIDI assign System for real-time performance and sound editing.
  • FOEM : Full Optimized embedded Effecting Module (24 types of algorithm).
  • Both Synth & Rhythm modes are realized in ravity.
  • Synth Mode : 4-layer combi system / Independent arpeggiator for each layer.
  • Rhythm Mode : 16 assignable pads/layers / 6 individual stereo outputs.

Ravity Windows VSTi is scheduled for release in late April, 2004 at a price to be announced.
