Adobe have announced a forthcoming v1.5 update to Audition, adding support for VST effect plug-ins in the process!

Main new features:

  • ReWire support.
  • Frequency space editing.
  • Pitch correction.
  • Enhanced support for video.
  • Clip time stretching.
  • Automatic click/pop elimination.
  • New sample sessions.
  • Vocal/instrumental extraction.
  • New royalty-free loops.
  • Save custom keyboard shortcuts.
  • Flexible envelope scaling.

Audition costs $299 USD, upgrades from v1.0 or Cool Edit Pro 2.x are available for $69 USD. Audition v1.5 is expected to ship in late May 2004.
