Yamaha has announced that Version 4 of the CL, M7CL, and LS9 StageMix applications that have become popular with users of the corresponding Yamaha digital consoles will become available this May, 2013, offering numerous new features and refinements.

Launched in 2010 with the concept "Perfect Monitor Mixes in Minutes," the M7CL StageMix application for iPad allowed wireless remote control of M7CL mixing parameters for the first time. The combination of the iPad interface and StageMix concept turned out to be a hit, providing unprecedented monitor setup freedom and flexibility. LS9 StageMix was then introduced in 2011, followed by CL StageMix in 2012. All three types are currently at Version 3, and are being used around the world for monitor setup and more.

Now Version 4 is on the way with new dynamics parameters, output port delay editing, PEQ copy and paste, phantom power switching, mix send pre/post switching, and other enhancements. StageMix Version 4 is scheduled for release in May of 2013, and will be available from the App Store as a free upgrade.

New StageMix Version 4 functions include:

  • Dynamics Parameter Editing.
  • Output Port Delay Editing.
  • Output Port Phase.
  • Output Port Levels (Gain/Attenuation).
  • PEQ Copy/Paste.
  • Phantom Power Switching.
  • Mix Send Pre/Post Switching.
  • HPF Slope Parameter (CL V1.5 only).
  • Retina Display Support.

"I am delighted that we are able to follow up StageMix Version 3, released in 2012, with a new version that offers this much value," says Kazunori Kobayashi, general manager of the Yamaha Pro Audio division. "StageMix Version 4 will work seamlessly with CL, M7CL, and LS9 series consoles to bring our users new convenience and efficiency in setting up for live sound events. We're always listening to feedback from the field, and will continue to incorporate innovative ideas and features that will enhance our customers' working environment."
