Apple updates Logic Pro X to v10.0.1

-

Apple has updated Logic Pro X to v10.0.1. This update improves overall stability and performance issues including:

  • Fixes an issue that could cause content downloading to stall.
  • 24-bit audio files are no longer converted to 16-bit when exporting projects to AAF.
  • Improves stability when switching between audio editors while Flex Pitch is enabled.
  • Track Stacks that contain both software instrument and audio tracks will no longer be inadvertently flattened by loading a Patch.
  • Tuner is now available when selecting a Track Stack containing audio tracks.
  • Addresses graphic and selection behavior issues in the Score Editor.

The update is available now in the Mac App Store.

Nobody has anything to say about Logic Pro X? I started with Logic Express 7, I believe and used Logic as my primary DAW until 2010 when I got a Windows 7 laptop. With Windows, I started with Tracktion 3.x but then migrated to Mixcraft 5 and now Mixcraft 6. I find that I'm spending less and less time with Logic. I'm surprised at how competitive Mixcraft is with Logic now, at least for the monkeying around with soft synths that makes up the majority of my DAW time. Finally in Logic X you can have multiple synths on one channel. Some features in Logic X seem pretty cool, but unfortunately, I can't run Logic X because I don't have OS X 10.8 on my Macs, and I'm in no hurry to upgrade the operating system. Depending on money, I think I'm likely to get a Windows desktop and a Mac laptop within the next year to year and a half but I might get all Windows or all Mac. It's pretty inefficient with one foot in each camp. What do you think, should I go all Mixcraft, all Logic, or 50-50?
