Impact Soundworks has released Rhapsody: Orchestral Percussion for Kontakt. It features a collection of traditional and extended instruments from the symphonic percussive canon, sampled with up to 10x RR variations, 5x dynamic levels, and three mic perspectives.
Rhapsody: Orchestral Percussion was recorded at 24-bit/44.1kHz and spans 50+ instruments in categories such as core drums (bass drum, snare, tom, ensembles, timpani), cymbals & gongs (scraped, suspended, muted, rolled), auxiliary percussion (shakers, finger cymbals, sleigh bells, triangle, tambourine), hand drums (cajon, darbuka, djembe, bongos, congas) and chromatic instruments (xylophone, marimba, tubular bells, glockenspiel, crotales).
Impact Soundworks describes the library as being versatile for use in both small, intimate tracks as well as more epic and dramatic compositions. It was recorded in a neutral hall and provides a 'focused' close mic sound making it ideal for blending with other libraries or external reverb of the composer's choice. The stage & hall mic positions allow for additional air, space and depth.
Rhapsody: Orchestral Percussion includes a custom scripted user interface with easy instrument mixing (volume, ADSR, channel output, tuning), an internal preset system, and mic mixing. Users can enable or disable any mic or instrument, as well as adjust mic width to create custom rooms/halls and blending with minimal effort.
Price: $249. Orchestral Percussion is available for the introductory price of $199 through September 30, 2014.
