At NAMM this year Camel Audio are launching two new sound banks for Cameleon 5000 plus some special bundle deals.

Progressions by Jim Hunter is a collection of 128 patches for Cameleon with a fresh, crystal clear sound. From deep beautiful pads to pumping rhythmics these sounds are highly useable in many styles of music. Many of the sounds have been programmed from scratch using pure additive synthesis, which give them a distinctive clarity that those based on resynthesis don't have.

Digiscapes is a bank of 128 instruments ranging from mellow leads and warm soothing pads to freakish rhythmic loops and electronic textures. The bank was programmed by Stephan Muesch and shows off both the analog and digital sides of Cameleon.

Both banks contain carefully programmed modulation settings to make the patches fun and responsive to play. The availability of these add-on packs turns Cameleon into a formidable rompler as well as a tweakers delight. These packs even have appeal for the those who like to get their hands dirty - they each come with a PDF file with special tips and tricks from the sound designers, together with a range of voice and morph presets.

Those who have yet to experience the additive delights of Cameleon also have some good news. Camel Audio have announced a discount of 15% off all the banks, if purchased with Cameleon, meaning that you can get the complete Cameleon experience (Cameleon plus all four add-on banks) for just US$284 / EU€227 / GB£153. Faithful followers of the camel train also have something to celebrate - if you buy any full priced bank, you get a discount of 10% on any of the others.

The banks can be purchased as a download for US$24.95 / EU€19.95 / GB£12.95 each. You can download an example set of patches, listen to an MP3 demo or buy online at the Camel Audio website.
