Project Sam has unveiled the plug-in version of their True Strike 1 orchestral percussion library. Based on Steinberg's new HALion Player technology, the full 18GB "Professional Edition" of True Strike 1 features 51 extensively sampled percussion instruments, covering large and small percussion, five melodic percussion instruments as well as a wide range of non-classical "crossover" sounds. Also available is the 5GB "Starter Edition" which features 40 out of the 51 percussion instruments in one microphone set (The Professional Edition includes the three familiar microphone sets close, stage and far).

A glimpse of the instruments and features you will encounter:

• A 5 GB timpani set (3 mics) including a wide range of crescendo and diminuendo rolls, note bending effects and modern playing techniques.
• Powerful gran casa, snaredrum and snare ensemble - sampled with both snares on and off with six alternations per hit - military drum, field drum and toms including a wide variety of typical action phrases and rolls.
• Another great feature are the ensemble hits - different instruments playing simultaneously.
• Five melodic instruments are available: glockenspiel, xylophone, marimba, vibraphone and celesta; the last being the very first to be available in three microphone sets.
• Apart from symphonic instruments a wide variety of crossover instruments has been sampled such as bongos, congas, timbales, crotales, Thai gongs and body percussion.
