xoxos has released arp4midi, an evolution of arp2midi, and Talent, an algorithmic MIDI sequence generator.
arp4midi combines Chris Kerry's arpeggiator with contemporary synchronization functions, adding gate offset (e.g. early or late) host position based sync, and "lobster" ("humanize") functions. arp4midi includes arpeggiate and phrase modes and a 16 step sequencer assignable to gate or arpeggiator step.
Talent is an algorithmic MIDI sequence generator with a simple and flexible design that lends itself to a variety of textures across 64 scales, using live MIDI control or automatic performance by settings.
arp4midi and Talent are VSTi plug-ins for Windows and come bundled together for US$25. Demo versions are available - the demo limitation snaps BPM to nearest multiple of 30.
