Digital Musician / Digitalmusician.net, the recently announced "Online Collaboration via VST" service, has announced that it will launch as a free service in August 2005 with a standard account that will offer full access to the digitalmusician.net (DMN) community web site and free use of the Digital Musician Link VST plug-in for real time audio and MIDI recording via internet with audio transmission rates that are equivalent to 128/bit mp3 compression.
Additionally a premium studio account will be available that offers higher audio transmission rates with up to 256 k/bit mp3 equivalent compression when using the DML VST plug-in. The premium studio account starts from €24 a month and also offers an option to setup sub-accounts, the extended studio homepage and email support.
Following the Windows version, a Mac version of the Digital Musician Link VST Plug-in is now available for public beta testing. Potential testers may apply using the contact form available on www.digitalmusician.net.
