Widisoft has released version 1.0.4 (OS X) of WIDI Audio To MIDI VST, a VST plug-in for Windows and Mac OS X that automatically transcribes an arbitrary polyphonic audio track into MIDI output (i.e. Audio -> MIDI). With this plug-in you can:

• Turn an original audio record into corresponding MIDI stream.
• Get instant Wave-to-MIDI transcription while playing a musical instrument.
• Play back MIDI output "as is" or use it to control MIDI-driven effects.
• Synchronize your MIDI device output with specific audio events.

The resulting MIDI events can be sent to the VST host, System MIDI Out Device or to a MIDI file. A spectrum window displays streaming spectrogram in real-time, as well as recognized notes. Adjustable recognition parameters allow to improve recognition quality.

WIDI Audio To MIDI VST costs $59.90 and is available as a VST plug-in for Windows and Mac OS X. Demo versions are available.
