Jeff Rippe has released RT Maximizer II, a real time audio loudness maximizer with GUI interface, automation and gain meters.

RT Maximizer II is a new improved version of the original RT Maximizer Real Time audio loudness maximizer. It combines fast compression and slow leveling to raise the level of the audio toward 0dB by the user selected amount (up to 20dB of gain) with the utmost transparency. There is absolutely NO overshoot with this device.
RT Maximizer II can be used to raise the level of individual channels or the entire mix as a final process. RT Maximizer II can be used on mono or stereo channel inserts as well as the master stereo buss insert. The Graphical User Interface provides real time indication of the amount of processor gain. The plug-in also accepts automation control from VST hosts such as Cubase.
RT Maximizer II costs $15 and is available as a VST effect plug-in for Windows.
