Outsim has updated SynthMaker to v0.9.5r. This release is all about the sound engine. There are many important fixes to the voice management, ADSRs and selectors/multiplexers. The code component should now be much quicker when editing larger blocks of code (you need the 'compile as you type' option switched off in the settings, but this is the default anyway). Several of the high-level modules have been updated. The Label component now deals much better with fonts across different systems.

Changes:

• If you had one or more ADSRs with Hold switched on then any ADSRs without Hold would not run their release stage.
• Voice management was not re-triggering if an ADSR didn't have Hold switched on.
• When using voice management and a short attack on an ADSR the sound could accumulate as successive notes are played.
• ADSRs passing through selectors cause notes to hold when switching.
• ADSRs connected to more than one selector in a chain prevent the release stage from performing correctly.
• The Search box now (just about) fits when the toolbox is only one component wide.
• Selectors and Multiplexers in a mono section were not performing a re-link correctly when switching.
• The default channel for the Note Event & MIDI Event components is now MIDI channel 1.
• A trigger is now sent for the Wave File Mem component after loading.
• Typing in the code component is now much faster (providing the update as you type option is switched off).
• The Mono to Float and Mono to Graph components were not relinking correctly when in a mono section.
• The Voices to Poly component was not initialising the first channel correctly.
• The mechanism which searches for active Poly to Monos wasn't working correctly in certain circumstances causing recompile problems.
• The Multiplexer wasn't relinking correctly in a Poly section.
• The Poly to Poly Int component was not updating type to the left after loading.
• Stage zero was not being run when switching a Selector or Multiplexer in a Mono section.
• In the voice management voices were not being cleared when switching ASIO or Direct sound Out on/off leaving stuck notes.
• Loss of sound when switching a selector that feeds into poly sections that link to separate Poly to Monos.
• The Graph switch component crashes if you have nothing connected to the inputs and then try to make a link from the output.
• Fixed denormals in the 2P2Z Low Pass Filter component.
• GUIs are now much more responsive in exported VSTs.
• Notes were left hanging if changing the number of voices while playing.
• The Index Selector component now has a String input for setting the current selection.
• Label module and all switch labels have been updated so that the selected font is referenced by name.
• The reverb module has been updated to include sambean's optimisations.
• The Wave Draw Osc module has been updated for faster drawing updates & the property labels have also been made clearer.
