Realsamples has released two new sample libraries - Harpsichord and Vintage Bass Collection.

The "Realsamples Harpsichord" features a masterbuilt harpsichord. While it is not a dynamic instrument at all, every hit sounds slightly different due to acoustic resonances of the body so it was recorded with 8 velocity layers for each key to avoid the static feel of single-layer sampling. The release sounds were sampled with 4 velocity layers.

Recorded in 24/96 kHz, using Royer SF-12 and R-122 ribbon microphones and Mindprint DTC preamps to achieve a "natural and warm" sound. Presets are included for Halion / Reason / Kontakt / VSampler3 / EXS24 / GigaStudio.

Harpsichord is available on DVD or CD for $59.95. MP3 demos are available.

The "Vintage Bass Collection" features a classic Fender Jazz Bass which has been recorded with 32 velocity layers for each key to capture its dynamic range. Additionally, slap samples are included with 4 velocity layers for each key.

Recorded in 24/96 kHz, using Universal Audio 610 preamps to achieve a "warm and responsive" sound. Presets are included for Halion / Reason / Kontakt / VSampler3 / EXS24 and GigaStudio.

The "Vintage Bass Collection" is available on DVD or CD for 59.95 $. MP3 demos are available.
