In September, Toontrack Music will release the first three, Expansion Packs (EZX:s) for dfh EZdrummer. The EZX:s have been picked to cover a broad range of user needs and requests in the wake of the release of EZdrummer. Toontrack is also negotiating the production of an all new batch of EZX:s planned for the end of the year or the beginning of next. These will feature specific genres, artists or instrument groups.
The first three EZX:s due for release in September, are:
Latin Percussion EZX
The Latin Percussion EZX for EZdrummer contains the percussion sounds from Toontrack's dfh Superior. The sounds have been mixed further at Toontrack Studios and the EZX includes MIDIfiles that will add that extra groove on top of your steady drumtrack.
Drumkit From Hell EZX
Drumkit From Hell aka DFH, originally came about to address Toontrack's need for better and more natural drums for the production work they were doing. The DFH EZX contains the essence of what Toontrack is originally all about. This version of DFH includes both the original DFH release and the Add-On pack that was released subsequently. All sounds have been re-mixed and they've added custom MIDIfiles from Fredrik Thordendal plus MIDI played by Ove Lingvall from Nocturnal Rites.
Vintage Brushes and Sticks EZX
The Vintage Brushes and Sticks EZX contains one of the kits from the soon to be released Superior Vintage Add-on, the Ludwig Keystone Drum Set. This 60's era Ludwig set belongs to 2khz Studio owner Nick Yeatman. The Ludwig Keystone Kit has been mixed by producer Peter Henderson and Mattias Eklund from Toontrack Music and with it they've added the classic Ludwig Black Beauty and a Slingerland Radio King snares, a number of cool complimentary cymbals and topped it all up with customized MIDI for both sticks and brushes.
