Wave Arts has released version 5.20 of the PowerSuite bundle of plug-ins - FinalPlug, MasterVerb, MultiDynamics, Panorama and TrackPlug.

TrackPlug v5.20 has several new features, including a real time spectrum analyzer, support for external sidechain input (AU, MAS, and RTAS only), and user selectable EQ and dynamics meter ranges.

• Real Time Analyzer (RTA): TrackPlug now has a built-in real time spectrum analyzer which allows you to see how the energy in the audio signal is distributed across frequencies. The RTA displays the instantaneous energy in each of 31 frequency bands ranging from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The width of each band is 1/3 octave which corresponds roughly to the critical bands in the human auditory system. For stereo signals, the RTA displays the peak value for left and right channels in each band. The RTA will display a flat response with a pink noise input.
• External sidechain (AU, MAS, RTAS only): You can now route an external track/bus to TrackPlug's sidechain input.
• EQ and dynamics meter range: The vertical range of the EQ display and dynamics attenuation meters can now be selected by the user, allowing more subtle editing/viewing of these processing units. The ranges are listed below:
  • EQ display: -24 to 24 dB, -12 to 12 dB, -6 to 6 dB.
  • Dynamics meters: -36 to 0 dB, -24 to 0 dB, -12 to 0 dB, -6 to 0 dB.

MultiDynamics changes:

• An additional, shallower 6 dB crossover slope has been added.

Panorama changes:

• This plug-in now properly supports 192K sampling rate.
