Yellow Matter Entertainment has announced the release of Steven Slate Drums, a new drum sample library in WAV and, very soon, Drumagog formats (GOG).

Receptor - The Ultimate Synth & Sampler Module

Included on the disc are numerous snare, kick, and tom samples to fit almost any kind of rock, pop, and metal musical genres. All the of the sounds on Steven Slate Drums have been processed so that they will fit easily in a mix with little or no additional tweaking needed. Each sample set for each drum hit contains three room choices in the unique Z system.

  • Z1 samples are printed with a small amount of ambient micing giving a natural sounding, three dimensional drum hit.
  • Z2 stereo samples are processed with heavily compressed ambient mics making a larger then life, ambient sound.
  • Z3 samples are processed with no ambient micing and are very dry and aggressive sounding.

In each of the Z categories, the user can load multiple velocity hits, containing multiple hits per velocity, for an "ultra realistic" sound.

Steven Slate Drums costs $199 (introductory price), is available as 24bit, 44.1khz mono and stereo wav files and is compatible with any drum replacement software such as Drumagog, Aptrigga, and Sound Replacer. The GOG (Drumagog) format disc is expected to be available within the next three weeks, as well as various other sample formats. All versions of the sample disc are free to customers who buy the original wav disc.
