Universal Audio has announced the web release of v4.7 software for the UAD Family of DSP Card's & Powered Plug-Ins. Version 4.7 includes 14-day fully functional demos of the new Neve 88RS Channel Strip and LA3A Classic Compressor. Registered UAD customers can purchase full authorizations of the Neve 88RS plug-in for $299 and the LA3A for $149. For a limited-time, the new plug-ins will be eligible for discounts as part of the multi-buy and power-user promotions at my.uaudio.com that expire at the end of June.
The Neve 88RS channel strip is modeled after the current flagship of Neve's analog consoles. Offering Four-band EQ, VCA type Limit/Comp dynamics, Gate/Expander and internal side-chaining for de-essing, the 88RS gives desktop DAW users (AU, VST, RTAS) access to a full-featured virtual Neve console at a remarkable price (compared to the price of a Neve console). Its low-distortion enables efficient DSP design, so users can run around 9 stereo instances (18 channels) on one UAD card @ 44.1kHz , giving up to a full 72 channel configuration on a fully expanded 4-card UAD system.
