Rayzoon has announced its 3rd Annual Holiday Sale with discounts of up to 35% on the entire Jamstix 2 product line, including the brand-new MetalPak expansion pack, and also updated Jamstix to v2.1.4, featuring workflow improvements, restore points (UNDO) and several fixes.

Holiday Sale offer prices

  • MetalPak $39 (20% off)
  • Jamstix 2 $79 (20% off)
  • Jamstix 2XL $99 (33% off)
  • Jamstix 2XL + MetalPak $129 (35% off)

MetalPak

MetalPak, the first Jamstix 2 expansion, is a 275MB metal kit with 5 new styles and 6 new drummers. As part of the Holiday Sale it is available for the introductory price of $39 until the end of the year; the normal price is $49.

Modern Metal Kit Sound:

  • Brand-new 275MB kit using Gretsch Renown Maple drums and AA/AAX cymbals.
  • Aggressive hats, tight and punchy kick plus an alternate Porkpie snare.
  • Single output and multi-output kits with ready-to-go Jamstix EQ and compression settings.
  • Can be used with any other Jamstix 2 style, e-drumkits or traditionally via MIDI by the host.
Five Metal Styles:
  • CUSTOM METAL - hand-edit the desired kick/snare pattern and leave the rest up to Jamstix.
  • DIAL-A-METAL - morphs the groove from half-time all the way to 16th double-bass/quarter snares.
  • NU METAL - perfect for mainstream nu-metal performances with simple groove controls.
  • PROG METAL - this one can make a 4/4 sound like an odd (korny?) time signature.
  • THRASH METAL - morphs the groove from half-time to double-time madness.
Six Metal Drummers:
  • DANNY, JASON, LARS, MIKE, NEIL, NOAH

Jamstix v2.1.4

Changes:

  • Added 'Add Tom Groove' to the brain menu, which allows adding an accentuated 16th tom rhythm with a variety of options.
  • Bar editor limb menu 'Clear Entire Limb' is now available per bar, part or the whole song.
  • Added ability to store up to ten revisions for easy undo, manually or via auto-save feature.
  • Added 'Control Only Current Part' option to brain menu. If unchecked, MIDI controllers affect all parts that have appropriate mappings, not just the current part.
  • Removed JS1 sound references from several kits and fixed incorrect kick drum reference in one kit.
  • Added new options to 'Copy' submenu of the part menu that allow propagating the style or drummer of a part to all other parts of the song.
  • Fixed some sub hosted drum modules playing with wrong pitch if project sample frequency is not 44.1 kHz.
  • Routing sounds to 'All' now randomly selects new sounds.
  • Jamstix2.ini file now supports HiHatController=x setting in subhost sections so that sound modules that use a MIDI controller other than 4 for hihat openness can be supported.
  • When saving a part, the default filename is automatically set to the name of the part.
  • Improved scaling of brain bitmap backgrounds.
  • JS2 will now automatically use CC4 continuous hihat control with DFHS and EZDrummer without ini entry.
  • The cell editor and the bar editor drag&drop functions are now consistently blocked if the bar is locked.
  • Various modifications to support MetalPak.
  • Improved e-drum CC4 behavior for certain drum kits.
