Swar Systems have released VSTi plugins of all of their 21 Indian instruments - sitar, sarod, sarangi, guitar, santoor, tanpura (3x), tabla (2x), pakhawaj, dholak, nagara, manjeera, flute (3x), shehnai, harmonium, sargam and tabla words - along with a collection of over 700 MIDI loops of rhythms and melodies from the subcontinent and a Librarian software to browse/classify/play/select them.
The new product has been called SwarPlug and runs on Windows, Mac OS 9 (without Librarian) and Mac OS X platforms. Download version is priced at $170 and packaged version at $195 (shipment included).

Besides SwarPlug, Swar Systems is also releasing SwarTrax, a similar product where VSTi plugins have been replaced by patches of all their instruments in various formats (DLS, SoundFonts, SampleCell, Akai S1000). This product is therefore targeted at composers running non-VST sequencers or hardware.
