Jonathan Schmid-Burgk has announced that the Mac OS X version of his freebie House Effect VST is now available. The source code is also now downloadable directly.
House Effect is a VST effect plugin that makes it very easy to create typical extreme compression often found in some styles of House music. Simply chain it as an insert-effect after your synthesizer and connect its MIDI input to the bassline via an aux-send of the percussion track. The bass drum will then trigger a strong gain.
