SONiVOX has announced the existence of their in-house MI software development team.

DVIInitially supporting SONiVOX and 3rd party partner products, the SONiVOX MI software team has developed a universally compatible player technology that focus on "intelligent MIDI performance, intuitive interfaces, and the highest sonic fidelity".

Software development is not new to SONiVOX. In past years they have provided embedded software audio solutions to large Fortune 500 companies, including Motorola, Analog Devices, and Google. This new development signals their further expansion into the pro MI market.

"Supporting musicians and composers with great sounding music products has always been at the core of our values. We are proud to make this move into the musical instrument software channel. The first releases from the SONiVOX MI software team will be affordably priced downloadable virtual instruments for Mac OS X and Windows (VST, RTAS, AU, Stand Alone). A large collection of these products are expected to be available for purchase by July 31, 2008.
