HyperSynth has released an enhanced series of its HyperSID HW Unit (it is an enhanced version of the discontinued HyperSID Hardware Unit which was released in March 2008).

New features:

• Support for all SID chip revisions (8580-6582-6581) .
• Balanced audio output.
• Front panel backlight brightness can be controlled by user-assignable MIDI events (MIDI-driven Visualization).
• Half-rack-space form factor fits in Universal Rack Tray.
• Compatible with discontinued series of HW unit.

HyperSID HW Unit can be purchased for $275 without a SID chip or $299 with one.

HyperSID VSTi can function as a software MIDI controller for this hardware sound engine.
