Acousticsamples has released Urban Drums, a new library for urban music powered by UVI Workstation.
Urban Drums is a tight drum set build around a 13' piccolo snare drum, well suited for hip hop, neo soul or even electro music productions.
This kit is made of elements from different brands, a 20' Yamaha Bass Drum, a 13' Tama metalwork piccolo Snare, a 12' Hi Tom, a 16' Floor Tom, a 14' Zildjian medium crash, a 14' Zildjian crash, a 13' Paiste Hihat and a 20' Zildjian jazz Ride.
Acousticsamples recorded every element with 3 microphone positions, a pair of overheads, a microphone above the top head and another under the bottom head and they added a synth kit. You have access to a mixer on the front interface to be able to enable, mix and pan each position.
You can use the mix presets to quickly access various types of sounds in one click. The kit is very detailed with more than 2000 samples, 4 round robins and up to 20 velocity layers. You also have access to a MIDI learn function, commonly used mapping presets, a reverb, the sensitivity, etc.
As all of Acousticsamples libraries, it comes with its own player (the UVI Workstation) that works in standalone and as VST, AU, RTAS and MAS plug-ins for 32- and 64-Bit Windows and Mac OS X.
Price: $85 / €69.
