Applied Acoustics Systems has announced the upcoming release of the Abstractions and Reverence sound banks for the Ultra Analog VA-2 synthesizer and AAS Player plug-ins in collaboration with artists and sound designers Richard Devine and Sean Divine.
Abstractions is the second sound bank title by Richard Devine in AAS' Sound Bank Series following the Microsound Textures title for the Chromaphone creative percussion synthesizer. This collection of 127 signature sounds covers standard analog categories but revisited with Richard Devine's unique aesthetics. These finely crafted sounds range from super precise percussion hits to rich and intricate ambient textures and are sure to provide many hours of exploration in evocative soundscapes.
"We worked with Richard on Ultra Analog VA-2's factory sounds at the time of the release last Fall; We enjoyed the sounds so much that we asked him for more in the form of a signature sound bank," says Marc-Pierre Verge, CEO of Applied Acoustics Systems, "The result is a collection of exclusive sounds that once again showcase beautifully Richard's style and mastery of sound design."
Reverence is the first collaboration between Sean Divine and Applied Acoustics Systems. The collection packs 115 production-ready sounds divided into arpeggiator, bass, keys, lead, pad, plucked, and effect categories.
"Reverence is an ode to modern and vintage analog synths," said Sean Divine. "Specifically, I wanted to create sounds with certain warmth, imperfections, and character."
"We are thrilled to collaborate with Sean Divine and bring his own perspective to our Sound Bank Series," adds Marc-Pierre Verge CEO of Applied Acoustics Systems, "The strength of this bank comes from Sean's combined expertise as a composer, producer, and mix engineer. The result are sounds that are both truly inspired and tailored for production."
