AXP has released a new free VST plug-in effect for Windows: SoftAmp GT, a virtual model of a well-known analog guitar amp simulator with a twist.

Many guitarists still like and use the analog stomp box from the 80s that was the prototype for this software implementation. It has some nice features added, such as an ability to replace virtual op-amps with tube triodes, based on the same tube model that was the core of the SoftAmp 3OD effect (a KVRDC12 entry, which has also been updated to v1.0.5, fixing a bug with UI not opening if another instance of the plugin is closed).
