Cinematique Instruments is ending its series of "Clearing out our Stock" with the release of Basic Marimba for Kontakt - a snapshot of a marimba that was recorded on the fly during an orchestral break.
As the name "Basic Marimba" suggests, this is a rough and basic version of a marimba. CI quickly miked it up and recorded some of the main playing techniques with up to three Round Robin variations and three velocity layers. In order to get a proper and useful instrument they spent some more time with post production and editing the instrument.
CI are aware that this marimba is not a very complex and extravagant instrument, but they decided to release it as the final piece in their series of "Clearing Out the Stock".
