FabFilter have released FabFilter One, their first VSTi plug-in. FabFilter One is a powerful monophonic lead synthesizer that realizes the best possible sound and filter quality through "innovative design techniques" and "the utmost attention to detail".

FabFilter's philosophy is that musicians do not need more features, they need better sound. A new design approach has resulted in a pure and solid-sounding oscillator and a unique self-resonating cut-off filter that has been tuned carefully to achieve the character and warmth of a classic analog synthesizer.

FabFilter is working on an Audio Units version of FabFilter One for Mac OS X, which will be released later this year. Plans for future products include a polyphonic software synthesizer and a filter effect plug-in that will build on the technology in FabFilter One.

FabFilter One is now available for the introductory price of $79 USD as a VSTi plug-in and stand-alone version for Windows. A demo version is also available.
