HoRNet recently updated the HoRNet VU Meter plug-in for Windows and Mac OS X to version 1.2, adding a useful input gain control and a selectable bar color for the VU level display.
You can make your own template with a different VU Meter color for each track, and use the input gain to trim your tracks and use your plugins always in the sweet-spot.
