Iceberg-softwares has updated GrainPlot to version 1.0 RC4. In addition to the bug fixes and improvements, this version also introduces GrainPlot FX, a VST effect adapted from the original instrument. GrainPlot FX is part of the initial product and is not sold separately.

New features added since first release candidate:

• Effect version.
• Internal MIDI CC assignment handling (learn/forget).
• New sample display mode, for a faster instantiation of the plug-in.
• Handling of the foot-switch controller (CC64).
• A new sound bank based on vocal audio samples by Rob Meulman.
• Hold CTRL key pushed during plug-in initialization to skip default bank loading.
• 'reset size' in the menu, was already available by double clicking the menu-bar or the status-bar.

Changes:

• The GUI is no more locked when a parameter is tweaked.
• Increased maximum sample length to 40 seconds.

Bug fixes:

• Demo version, demo noise thrown much too often.
• Distribution of the start offset was wrong.
• Preset not played correctly if grain position was static.
• Overlap-add, wrong implementation.
• Sample selector text after audio file replacement, the text was not reflecting changes.
• It was not possible to copy/paste a preset that did not contained any automation curve.
