(sigh) I suppose all of the never-ending torrent of iToys promotions generates the revenue that funds the ongoing development of SampleTank 3. Meanwhile, I just spent yet another bundle of ca$h buying yet another new 64-bit instrument that replaces functionality I lost in the obsolete 32-bit SampleTank 2.5.

Do I blame IKM for throwing their efforts into the iToys market, where (apparently) the money is? Nope. Economic reality is what it is. It's easy for me to say, "IKM should have been more supportive of their pro (studio) users", but it's not my company. It's not my decision to make.

IKM took all my suggestions for improvements in ST3, but whether they actually implemented them is something I still don't know. Until I get my hands on ST3, it's still vaporware for my purposes. It's of no use to me that some big shot I never heard of got to test drive it in a video. Why wasn't I at least given the chance to beta test it? Does my input as a pro user who owns ALL of IKM's instruments mean so little?

I'm just blowing off some long-accumulated steam here, and I suspect it probably isn't going to make any difference to IKM. But when a company so consistently says "You don't matter" to its pro users for so long, eventually its pro users are going to say, "You don't matter to me either."

I'm not sure I've reached that point with IKM (yet), but every time I see yet another video of someone else playing a pre-release version of ST3, or yet another promotion for some kind of iToy, I get a little closer to just not caring any more. If I could get one message across to IKM, it would be, "Please stop. I don't need or want any more ST3 teasers. What I want is ST3 itself. Stop wasting resources on promoting something I already wanted a long time ago, and put the resources into creating the product."

Is that too much to ask?
