Impact Soundworks Releases "ReForged: Cinematic Metallic Sound Design" for Kontakt & WAV
Impact Soundworks has released ReForged: Cinematic Metallic Sound Design, a hybrid cinematic library featuring experimental acoustic instruments and sound design material. The 1,900+ samples included in ReForged are presented in both Kontakt patches and raw, unlocked WAV/REX2 files for further editing.
Designed by Ali Lacey and co-produced with composer Histibe, ReForged features unique found metallic percussion recorded in the Welsh country side. Metal, tin, steel, and iron objects like baths, cookers, sheets, machinery, and gas canisters were intimately recorded with an array of techniques and dynamic layers.
This raw acoustic material - the Natural instruments - was then transformed by Lacey, Histibe, and other sound designers to create the Designed sounds. These include hundreds of epic, cinematic loops & beds, impacts, atmospheres, textures, and other effects ideal for film, TV, and video game scoring.
The Kontakt interface sports both simple editing controls like volume and envelopes, as well as a full FX rack, arpeggiator/gate, and an internal preset system with dozens of templates. These templates can be applied to any sound to create instant variation with no tweaking needed.
Price: $139.
ReForged: Cinematic Metallic Sound Design is available for the introductory price of $119 through January 15, 2015.
The library requires the full version of Kontakt 5.1 (or higher) for the Kontakt patches, while the WAVs and REX2 files can be used in any compatible DAW or sampler.
