Longcat Audio Technologies has announced the release of the version 1.2 update of AudioStage, their 3D audio authoring and mixing software.

Ideal for movie and music post-production, AudioStage allows to visually place and animate audio tracks as 3D objects in totally editable environments.

This updated version can now be used with Ableton Live, Adobe Audition, FL Studio, and is compatible with latest versions of Avid ProTools, Merging Pyramix, Steinberg Nuendo or Apple Logic Pro.

• More accessible pricing: AudioStage now starts at €299 / $375.
• Better compatibility: AudioStage is compatible with the upcoming Mac OS X Lion, and was tested with a wide selection of VST, RTAS or AudioUnits hosts.
• Better quality for 3D audio: H3D and S3D renderings were revised in order to add less coloration to processed sounds.
• More surround channels: AudioStage Surround now allows mixes up to 7+1 channels.

AudioStage can mix a large amount of multichannel tracks in complex, user-definable and automatable 3D environments while beneficing from a comprehensive choice of simultaneous spatialization techniques (including stereo, binaural, stereo3D, surround, Ambisonics and VBAP), outputting up to 64 channels mixes on standard or 3D loudspeakers layouts.

AudioStage 1.2 is available immediately in Longcat's online shop for Windows and Mac OS X, with VST/AU/RTAS plug-in connectors.

Also available is the updated free AudioStage Lite 1.2 edition, which is downloadable from Longcat Audio's website.
