Myosis has announced MyosisPiano, a new virtual piano based on multiple synthesis methods (subtractive and physical synthesis). This is not a sample-based piano, there are absolutely no samples inside.

Myosis Piano, doesn't try to imitate the sound of any particular piano. It only sounds like a piano in a real acoustic space and demonstrates that it's possible to emulate a piano using subtractive synthesis. Physical modelling in Myosis Piano concerns acoustic space only. The sound of the strings and the sound of hammers come from pure subtractive synthesis.

• Controls over polyphony, MIDI velocity, tone, hammer, strings, soundboard, sympathetic resonance, reverb, ...
• Soft Pedal.

MyosisPiano will cost €49 and will be released soon as a VST instrument plug-in for Windows.
