René 'Neotec' Jeschke has released three new free VST instrument synth plug-ins for Windows - Cetone033, CetoneSynth and CetoneLight. All are based on code examples from musicdsp.org.

Cetone033 is a simple bassline synthesizer.

Specifications:

• 2 Oscillators with Saw, Pulse and Triangle waveforms. Morph parameter controls either pulsewidth or Triangle-to-Saw morph value.
• 2 Envelopes with attack and decay times from nearly zero up to one second.
• Resonant Butterworth 24db filter.

CetoneSynth is a very complex synthesizer.

Specifications:

• 4 Oscillators with Saw, Pulse, Triangle and C64 type noise waveforms. Oscillator 4 is used as a HFO. Sync is currently disabled.
• 3 AHDSR Envelopes with durations from nearly zero up to ten seconds.
• 7 different resonant filter types.
• 8 modulation slots.
• 2 LFOs with speeds between nearly zero and 50Hz.
• C64 fast arpeggiator.

CetoneLight is the light version of CetoneSynth.

Specifications:

• 3 Oscillators with Saw, Pulse, Triangle and C64 type noise waveforms. Sync is currently disabled.
• 2 AHDSR Envelopes with durations from nearly zero up to ten seconds.
