QESounds has released their latest Kontakt 4/5 compatible library of sounds for soundtrack design - QES Metals Lite.

QES Metals Lite continues QESounds' commitment to "Unique Sound Sample Libraries for Soundtrack Design". It is the first installment in the QES Metals series which will include turnkey processed sounds as well as "raw" metals recordings to be used as source material for those doing sound design work.

QES Metals Lite contains 11 instruments – 946 ARFx-like processed one-shot sounds. Source recordings include Bowed Cymbals, Chimes Clusters, Metals on Dry Ice, Waterphone Galvanized, Scrapes and Miscellaneous Metals. The format is 24-bit, 44.1KHz, Stereo, .ncw samples.

QES Metals Lite includes Version 3 scripting - including: Convolution (110+ IRs) - Global Stereo Image Control, Global EQ, XFade Mode, Layers Mode, Four Modes of Envelope Assignment/Control, and Stereo Image Control for individual sounds.

QES Metals Lite is available for download for $49.95. It is a six part RAR'ed multifile – 2.2 GB total download. It is K4/5 compatible and the install structure has been designed to be user friendly on both Mac OS X and Windows.
