Rogue Amoeba has released updates for Fission, Audio Hijack and Nicecast.

Changes in Fission 2.3.1:

  • Major Enhancement: Fission now fully supports tabs on MacOS 10.12 (Sierra). Previous versions could crash when attempting to make new tabs, so be sure to update.
  • Major Enhancement: We've made optimizations throughout the app to make this the snappiest Fission yet. Waveform generation is now 20% faster, and AAC saving has been sped up as well.
  • Enhancement: Chapterized AAC and MP3 files now use the Album tag as the Title for the file.
  • Enhancement: Fission will automatically set a default title based on any file's name, and set Artwork from a video file's preview frame.
  • Enhancement: Save operations can now be cancelled if necessary.
  • Bug Fix: AIFF/WAV limits are now checked before transcoding, so that malformed (overly long/large) AIFF and WAV files won't be created.
  • Bug Fix: Compatibility with rare and poorly-formed AAC files has been improved.
  • Bug Fix: Several small cosmetic improvements have been made, including fixes to the "Where" field, file name display in the Inspector, and the Comment field.
  • Bug Fix: The ".m4b" and ".aif" extensions are now allowed by the Save panel.

Changes in Audio Hijack 3.3.2:

  • Critical Bug Fix: We've corrected an issue where deleting blocks on MacOS 10.12 (Sierra) could cause an exception in Core Animation and leave the UI in an inconsistent state until relaunched.
  • Enhancement: The "Avaya Spark" app is now supported as a VoIP input source.
  • Enhancement: Audio Hijack now better shows when an audio device has gone missing.
  • Enhancement: Several minor corrections have been made for the "Install Extras" window when using Full Keyboard Access.
  • Bug Fix: The left and right arrows again work to navigate in the Sessions tab.
  • Bug Fix: A VoiceOver-related crash on Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) has been fixed. along with an issue where VoiceOver users couldn't edit tags in the Recordings tab.
  • Bug Fix: Adjustments have been made to enable FaceTime to be captured on MacOS 10.12 (Sierra).
  • Other: Due to changes in iTunes 12.5, Audio Hijack now requires Instant On to capture audio from iTunes, and will prompt the user if needed.

Changes in Nicecast 1.11.11:

  • Bug Fix: Adjustments have been made to enable FaceTime to be captured on MacOS 10.12 (Sierra).
  • Enhancement: Several minor corrections have been made for the "Install Extras" window when using Full Keyboard Access.
  • Other: Due to changes made by Apple, capturing audio from iTunes now requires Instant On. Nicecast has been updated to handle this as needed.
