scuzzphut has released scuzzphut6.5-lite, a new free trancegate VST plug-in for Windows that takes the step sequencer from scuzzphut6 and makes it a dedicated plugin with several improvements, including:

• Improved GUI - both in terms of looks and functionality steps can be set/cleared by dragging.
• CPU use now minimal.
• Pattern selector for 8 patterns.
• Pattern changes happen synced to the bar start.
• MIDI control of pattern changes - MIDI notes C to G (any octave) select patterns 1-8.

scuzzphut6.5-lite will be followed by a full version scuzzphut6.5 with delay/filter features similar to scuzzphut6.
