Sinevibes has announced the release of two new AudioUnit plug-ins for Mac OS X: Frequency and Oscillator. These are unique audio-controlled tools that will make you completely rethink the definition of "synthesizer", according to Sinevibes.

Frequency is an effect plug-in that lets you create synth and bass lines full of character. At its core is a synthesizer which can produce a variety of tones and textures. It pairs a dual oscillator with a waveshape transformer, and modulates its level and shape from the input signal's envelope. Combined with a flexible pitch sequencer, Frequency lets you turn rhythmic sound sources into expressive, catchy synth and bass lines, dynamic drones, wobbling sounds, as well as glitch loops and old-school game effects.

Oscillator is an effect plug-in that lets you turn any audio into sci-fi effects, glitches and noises. It is based on a unison sine oscillator with up to six widely detunable voices whose parameters are modulated using the input signal's dynamics. Each oscillator can also be individually ring-modulated with the input signal. Combined with phase randomization and frequency stepping features, all this lets Oscillator turn any audio signal into a wide variety of sounds and effects – from interesting synths, basses and melodic strums to blips, zaps, glitches and beyond.
