Sound Quest have released version 9.0 of Midi Quest, the universal editor/librarian that can also function from within your VST host application.

This new version of Midi Quest now supports over 600 instruments from 60 manufacturers, includes over 70,000 patches and apparently features the most advanced SysEx editing and organizational tools found anywhere. A comprehensive list of the new features in version 9.0 can be found here.

To get the VST plugin version you need Midi Quest XL as this includes a VST plug-in which allows you to run Midi Quest XL in any software application that supports the VST standard. The VST plug-in now supports VST parameter automation - all parameters edits can be recorded in your sequencer and played back later.

Midi Quest XL can be purchased for $299, with various upgrade options available including competitive upgrades from other editor and/or librarian software.
