Soundiron releases Ambius 1 Transmissions v2.0 Upgrade for Kontakt

Soundiron has released a full redesign of the Ambius 1 Transmissions atmospheric synth and soundscape collection for Kontakt. It's normally priced at $89, but is available for $69 from now through February 11th, 2013.

This collection of ambiences, drones, pads and evolving "synth" leads was created by hand, using only organic field and instrument recordings. No synthesizers were used in the creation of this library at all. Soundiron then turned to a variety of custom techniques to blend, warp, shape and layer the sounds into new forms. The instruments found in this collection range from simple, clean, tonal leads to compound, constantly moving sound-scapes and textures. In this first volume of the Ambius series, the focus is on the dark, the cryptic, the unnatural and the subliminal, in the form of unearthly angelic bell tones and demonically corrupt signals filtering through the void.

Instruments are broken into 3 main categories (Tuned, Melodic and Horror), plus a selection of custom stereo convolution reverb impulses. The deep custom GUI combines deep performance controls with an integrated step-sequencing engine that drives a multi-mode resonant filter. The system allows custom 32-step BPM-synced filter grooves that can also be used to modulate any control parameter to host tempo. The library interface also features custom convolution impulses, the Uberpeggiator arp system, polyphonic legato and full EQ controls.

  • Available by Continuata Connect high speed download and DVD.
  • 352 looping wav Samples (standard PCM wav).
  • 108 .nki files (unlocked format).
