Soundiron releases "High School Drumcorps" v2.0 for Kontakt

Soundiron has released version 2.0 of High School Drumcorps, a multi-sample drum library for Kontakt focused on capturing the tight, punchy sound of high school marching band drum line snares and bass drums.

This library includes a full collection of articulations for tuned marching bass drums (20" - 36"), 14" marching snares, a 42" concert bass drum and full ensemble. There are snare and bassdrum rolls, crescendos, strikes, rim clicks, rimshots and more. Each drum was recorded in close, wide stereo, in a large band hall and out on the football field. As a bonus, there are 18 live marching bands and parade ambiences.

The new 2.0 upgrade adds Soundiron's unique Megamixer interface, which allows custom kit and ensemble building, with independent drum and articulation selection, volume, panning, tuning, key-mapping and more. The ensemble and solo presets feature the Ubberpeggiator system, including the new EZ-roll generator mode. Full ADSR, release sample and crescendo shaping controls are also included, along with Filter/EQ and convolution reverb effects.

  • 1530 Samples (stereo wav).
  • 10 .nki preset files (unlocked open format).
  • 737 MB installed.
  • 16 bit / 44kHz stereo.
  • Available by Continuata Direct Download and DVD.
  • Format(s): Kontakt 4.2.4 (and later) and PCM .wav.

Price: $49.

The full retail version of Kontakt 4 or later is required to use the .nki instrument program presets included in this library. The free Kontakt "Player" does not support this library.

Special Note: This library was also originally released by Tonehammer under the product names Marching Band, Marching Drumcorps and High School Drum Corps and as part of Tonehammer Composer Bundles #0 and #2.
